Computing plays a bigger role in the lives of young people today than ever before. Yet, there is a widespread lack of knowledge of what constitutes the core of computing: is it just the use of word processors and spreadsheets or are there more fundamental principles that underlie this science. Can we show young people how a computational model can be used to solve a variety of problems, from basic problems in mathematics to answering questions in biology?

CSpathshala ( is an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India ( initiative to bring a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools. Industry and top academic institutions are working together to achieve the desired goal. CSpathshala, is organizing a workshop on 16th April, 2016 from 9:30am to 3:30 pm, at MCCIA trade towers, Senapati Bapat Road, Pune 411016. Professor Abhinav Ranade, IIT Bombay and Professor Mathai Joseph, Ex-Director TRDDC will deliver the keynote addresses.

We are pleased to invite you to the workshop and would be delighted to have you and your computing teachers present at this workshop.
