Computing plays a bigger role in the lives of young people today than ever before. Yet, there is a widespread lack of knowledge of what constitutes the core of computing: is it just the use of word processors and spreadsheets or are there more fundamental principles that underlie this science. Can we show young people how a computational model can be used to solve a variety of problems, from basic problems in mathematics to answering questions in biology?

CSpathshala (www.cspathshala.org) is an Association for Computing Machinery (ACM India: india.acm.org), not for profit, initiative to bring a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools. ACM India along with Rotary Club of Pimpri is organizing a workshop on 20th August 2018 from 11:00 am to 2:00 pm, for cluster heads of 162 government schools from Khed taluka.

The CSpathshala initiative provides teaching aids in the form of slides, lesson plans and student worksheets to the teachers at no cost. 200,000 students in 11 states are sampling the CSpathshala curriculum.
