The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India has started an education initiative (CSpathshala) to promote the teaching of computer science in schools. Computing plays a bigger role in the lives of young people today than ever before. Yet, there is a widespread lack of knowledge of what constitutes the core of computing: is it just the use of word processors and spreadsheets or are there more fundamental principles that underlie this science. Can we show young people how a computational model can be used to solve a variety of problems, from basic problems in mathematics to answering questions in biology?

CSpathshala, is organizing a workshop on 9th September, 2017 from 9:15am to 2:00 pm, at School of Computer Studies, Ahmedabad University. The training program will provide an overview of the CSpathshala initiative, curriculum, computational thinking concepts and an in depth walk through of teaching aids.

Venue: A.G. Campus Commerce Six Roads, University Road, Vasant Vihar, Navrangpura, Ahmedabad, Gujarat 380009
