CSPathshala Introductory Workshop
Date(s) - 11/03/2017
9:00 am - 1:00 pm
GGI School, Pimpri
Computing plays a bigger role in the lives of young people today than ever before. Yet, there is a widespread lack of knowledge of what constitutes the core of computing: is it just the use of word processors and spreadsheets or are there more fundamental principles that underlie this science. Can we show young people how a computational model can be used to solve a variety of problems, from basic problems in mathematics to answering questions in biology?
CSpathshala, an Association for Computing Machinery India (ACM India) initiative, brings a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools. CSpathshala, is organizing a free teacher training workshop for computing teachers on 11th March, 2017 from 9:00am to 1:00pm. The workshop will provide an overview of core concepts of problem solving and computational thinking as well as CSPathshala curriculum and teaching aids for grades 1-8.
