CSPathshala teacher training program – Pimpri

CSpathshala (www.cspathshala.org) is an Association for Computing Machinery India (ACM India: india.acm.org), not for profit, initiative to bring a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools. CSpathshala curriculum has been designed by top academicians in computer science from the country’s premier academic and research institutions – IIT Bombay, CMI, IISc, IMSc as well as experts from the IT industry.
Computational Thinking is the process of formulating a problem, finding solution to the problem and expressing it in such a way that humans or machines can understand. It involves the use of problem solving methods to decompose the problem into smaller manageable sub problems, identifying the right abstractions so as to deal with scale and complexity, finding existing patterns or models that can be adapted, building an algorithm to solve the problem and in case of multiple solutions, analysing the solutions on multiple parameters to identify the one that best meets the given situation. Modern businesses are all about problem solving! Worldwide countries are moving away from and ICT (Digital literacy) based syllabus to a curriculum entirely based on Computational Thinking.
In partnership with Rotary Club of Pimpri, CSpathshala is pleased to announce a training program in Pimpri on computational thinking on 2nd December 2017 from 2pm – 4pm at Rotary Club of Pimpri. CSpathshala training will provide an overview of Computational thinking: problem solving, abstraction, algorithms and programming concepts through activities and examples. The program will also walk you through sample lessons in these areas for both primary and secondary grades. 175+ schools have signed up for the 2017-18 pilot program and 350+ teachers from across the country already undergone the training program. 75,000 students are following CSpathshala curriculum.
CSpathshala will hand out teaching aid book and CD for each school.
