Hour of Code – Dec 4-10, 2017

No matter what your students dream of, it is important, as a teacher, to prepare them for the future. Whether your students want to be doctors, engineers, professionals or entrepreneurs, chances are that computer science and programming can help them. Coding not only helps create apps, games and other products, it also helps individuals sharpen their problem solving and computational thinking skills. Hour of Code is a global movement by Computer Science Education Week and Code.org reaching tens of millions of students in 180+ countries through a one-hour introduction to computer science and computer programming.  Schools worldwide are gearing up to participate in the week long event from December 4-10, 2017.

CSpathshala has taken a lead in bringing a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools and is proud to support “Hour of Code”. We encourage schools to organize hour of code events during December 4-10, 2017. A number of age and grade appropriate, with and without the use of computers, that make programming fun, are available on http://cspathshala.org/2017-18-implementation-plan/ as well as www.code.org. Additional activities are available on Khan’s academy, Microsoft, Google and several other websites.
