CSpathshala Teacher training on Computational Thinking
Date(s) - 22/09/2018
7:00 am - 2:00 pm
The Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) India has started an education initiative (CSpathshala) to promote the teaching of computer science in schools. Computing plays a bigger role in the lives of young people today than ever before. Yet, there is a widespread lack of knowledge of what constitutes the core of computing: is it just the use of word processors and spreadsheets or are there more fundamental principles that underlie this science. Can we show young people how a computational model can be used to solve a variety of problems, from basic problems in mathematics to answering questions in biology?
CSpathshala, in partnership with Tata Consultancy Services, SSA Gujarat and Sabarkantha District Panchayat is organizing a 1 day training program for teachers in Sabarkantha district on 22nd September, 2018 from 7:00am to 2:00pm at DIET, Idar.
The training program will provide an overview of the CSpathshala initiative, curriculum, computational thinking concepts and an in depth walk through of teaching aids.
