About Us

CSpathshala is an Association for

Computing is ubiquitous and people from every walk of life will need to be familiar with computing in some form or the other. This will give rise to a huge demand for computing skills leading to a talent shortage. To address the skills’ demand created by the industrial revolution, the Sciences and Mathematics were included in the school curriculum in the early 19th century. Now as we participate in the digital revolution, we need to train our children on skills for the digital age.

We need to train our children to be creators and inventors of technology and at the same time teach them to be socially responsible citizens. It is therefore imperative to teach computing, which promotes problem solving, computational thinking and critical reasoning skills, at par with Mathematics and Sciences.

Computational Thinking

Industry Leaders on Computing

As we participate in the digital revolution, we need to train our children on skills for the digital age. Computational thinking (CT) has been recognized as one of the key 21st century skills and involves understanding a problem, designing a solution and expressing it in a form that a human or a machine can execute. CT has been introduced into the mainstream curricula in many countries and India has joined them. The National Education Policy 2020 recommends that mathematical and computational thinking will be given increased emphasis through a variety of innovative methods, including the regular use of puzzles and games that make mathematical thinking more enjoyable and engaging.

CSpathshala is an Association for Computing Machinery India (ACM India) initiative to bring a modern computing curriculum to Indian schools.

What Teachers are Saying

Real life examples and worksheets make difficult concepts easy for children especially for those who have a fear of Maths find the same concepts easy to comprehend

Ms. Neha Joshi

Kalmadi School, Pune

Thank you so much for such a great initiative taken by cspathshala to implement the very basics of computer science by the well structured curriculum and the support. The workshop gave a deep insight of what is computing.looking forward to implement the curriculum in my school.

Bharti Arora

PMLSD Public School, Chandigarh

Activities and games from CSpathshala lessons help students enjoy. The activities in patterns for the lower classes through blocks and older classes through drawing allow space for creativity

Ms. Siddhi

The Stepping Stone School, Pune

Concepts of shapes and patterns taught through CSpathshala lessons across grades 2 to 6 have made the task simpler for the Maths teacher. Two or more cutouts of shapes given to the students to make patterns. Children started enjoying the learning experience through the activities. In Maths a pen & paper  based learning aligned with CSpathshala activities  have helped in enriching the curriculum and ‘truly grilled concepts in the students mind’

Mrs. Athale

VPMS
